Winter Olympics!

While the competition started yesterday, the opening ceremonies were held today. And for Americans, it was held in Prime Time. I enjoy watching the all the athletes from all the world. It reminds you that the world is so much larger than you can ever gasp. Cultural differences are so vast. And learning about the host country is always interesting. (I can't wait to see the Chicagoian culture in the future!)

But it's the similarities that really makes it amazing. All the athletes are so proud of their respective countries. People love to wave in general directions to huge crowds. And capturing the moment with video recorders is a world obsession.

And the best aspect: Smiles. It's global. And I love it.
