Year in Review

As it is New Years Eve Day, I feel it is a great time to remember what was 2011 myself. The year started in Arizona with Jimmy Eat World for the BCS Fiesta Bowl, which UConn was playing in. Then, going to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon was a great time. The year definitely started off right. Then, with my great schedule, I had my first 4.0 semester while having an awesome time with a great group of friends. Not to mention that my semester was delay a week later due to a great internship with Electric Boat with a great group of co-workers.
Then, there were ups and downs with UConn sports. A couple of losses from the UConn Women's basketball team. But of all the downs were overtaken by an excellent post season from the UConn Men's Basketball team. A Big East Championship in Madison Square Garden with Kemba Walker taking a ridiculous ankle breaker on Gary McGhee. Then, leading the team to a National Title over Butler. That Final Four experience was much better then the one 2 years before (Winning it all helps).
Then, came the bittersweet end to my college career. Graduation was a blast, happily celebrating all of our hard work coming to completion. Saying so long until the next time was tough for me. Saying good bye is probably one of my weakest points. But I try to keep touch as best as I can.
Then, the move to Fort Wayne, IN occurred, starting my new career! I am still getting a hang of the town and life there but it's been a good time so far.
It been a great year. Some terrible patent between companies, but services have become better like Amazon Prime, services that were created, Google+. Google trying to find their identity still, or is it better that they don't have one?. Netflix loses millions and millions of users due to a price increase and a terrible decision, that was later retracted, to split the company in two.
Overall, 2011 treated me well. I've met some great new people. The relationships I've had already grew stronger, which is just amazing to me. 2012 will hopefully be the same or even better! So let's do this!
